Kuwaits Deputy PM Launches 2025-2030 Defense Strategy in Line with Amir’s Directives: Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Acting Interior Minister confirmed that the newly launched Defense Ministry Strategic Plan (2025-2030) reflects the directives of His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The comprehensive roadmap outlines Kuwait’s military modernization priorities and national security enhancements for the coming five years.
The strategic plan focuses on three key pillars: advanced weapons procurement, cybersecurity infrastructure development, and human capital training in defense technologies.
“This initiative embodies our leadership’s vision for a secure, technologically advanced Kuwait capable of addressing emerging regional threats,” stated the Defense Minister during the launch ceremony at the Ministry headquarters.
The 2025-2030 strategy aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035’s national development goals and includes partnerships with global defense leaders. Military analysts note the plan’s emphasis on drone defense systems and artificial intelligence applications marks Kuwait’s transition toward next-generation warfare capabilities while maintaining its defensive doctrine in the Gulf region.
